  •  Zip Wire - Canopy Tour, Vista Los Suenos, 10 minutes drive from Macaws Beach Club www.canopyvistalossuenos.com If you are lucky you might see Macaws and Toucans, we saw both and had a blast on the wire!

  • Manuel Antonio National Park and Carara National Park, Manuel Antonio is a 1.5 hour drive from Macaws Beach Club, www.manuelantoniopark.com and www.costaricabureau.com/nationalparks/carara.htm. Hire a guide for the tour, make sure he is registered and has a tripod and monocular, it is worth it at around $25 per person, with an experienced guide you will see so much more, and the forest is home to Sloths, Iguanas, rare Squirrel Monkeys and colorful little Crabs to name but a few. Carara is only about 15 miles from Jaco, and is a far more wetter part of the rainforest, but it holds one of largest remaining populations of Wild Scarlet Macaws in Costa Rica, worth a visit for sure . . .
